We then brainstormed these ideas with the rest of the working group in a series of workshops to come up with some user flows and journeys that we thought we serve the user groups as best possible. We had arranged some user testing sessions with a local research company in Old Street, so the next thing to do was take our concepts and user flows and turn them into a high-level journey map, which we would then turn into wireframes for usability testing. These high level scamps were produced to demonstrate to General Managers and directors the thought processes of how a new Pre-Sales journey could work. The scamps were received well during the presentations. The purpose of the tool is to allow the user to manage and block calls that come into their home telephone number. The technology used an API to link the numbers that call the landline to a backend database which we designed the UI for. We had some processes in place like Discovery and Team Retros but nothing everything was catered for. This made it easier for the rest of the design team to further intergrate into the business. This involved designing an atomic design system capable of catering for each of our business lines that provides a great responsive experience. I Lead the project and was supported by two fantastic designers in Ben Shelford and Kyle Bowman. Together, we designed, tested and launched the design system (from scratch) in 6months. This was a tremendous victory, for myself, the team and the business. Initially the Design System was in Sketch but later we moved it to Figma.
